We’re just one day away from Google Photos moving away from unlimited high-quality photo and video backups. Instead, the service will require users to pay if they exceed 15GB of storage for photo and video backups.

The news first broke back in November 2020, and marked a major departure for Google Photos after it introduced unlimited high-quality backups back in 2015. So now that the dust has settled from the announcement and we’re on the eve of the new policy, we want to know whether you’re staying or switching. Let us know by voting in the poll below and leaving a comment if you have more to say.

There’s no denying that Google Photos would still be a great photo backup service if you chose to stay with it. Sure, you only have 15GB of storage if you don’t cough up any cash, but you do get plenty of handy editing tools, smart categorization, and slick sharing capabilities.

We wouldn’t be surprised if some people opt for another service, as there are quite a few Google Photos alternatives out there. Between OneDrive, Dropbox, and your own server, you don’t have to stay with Google if you don’t want to.
